Question 98+ Cluster pinouts (93-96 to 98+ swap)

I have a 95 Caprice and I am trying to install gages from a 98 Z28 (150mph). I have searched this forum and it seems that 98+ cluster does not work in older cars. I am willing to make an attempt to make it work, pretty confident I will get it done.
Can somone with a 98+ FSM post the wiring diagram for this cluster. I need to find out pin assigments.
In a Caprice/Impala comunity a 93-96 Camaro cluster swap is a very popular mod, but I want to take it to the next level.
One thing I can promise to post is the wire/pin correspondance of a 98+ to the 93-96 Camaro cluster, if it is simple rewiring of the cluster conector, anyway I will post whatever I find.

Thanks for the help.

i have a '97 t/a digital odo. cluster in my '94. i would assume that a 98+ would work just fine since the '97 works. problem with '97+ camaro clusters is that they are NOT the same shape as the pre97 clusters. so they physically do not fit, they redesigned the dash in '97. but with the pontiacs 93-02, the shape of the cluster/dash was the same. but of course these are all fbody, no idea about the caprice...

only problem with the '97 cluster in my car is that the TCS OFF light stays lit (i do not have traction control)

but as for the wireing diagram you need, sorry can't help.

The 98 will not work simply like that. The connector on the back in 98 has 2 rows of 17 pins, 93-96 has 2 rows of 16 pins. The connector is a bit different too.
I tried figuring stuff out from the cluster it self but it is very time consuming and kind of PITA.
Thanks thou

ttt, revival of and old thread

I would like to know about this too becuase I'd add it to my 96 Formula so that I can do the LG Motorsports 200 MPH swap

Edit: I want to know about the 97 digital clutser, not 98+

It is almost working!
I found someone with a 98 FSM and copied the spinouts on the back of the cluster.

The only thing that is not working is the fuel gauge . I am really not sure why, and this is what I wanted to ask you guys. Is the fuel gauge sending unit different from say 96 to 98? Fuel gage on a 98 cluster definitely wired up differently. It may be that I got a damaged cluster too.
Thanks

BTW if anyone need the pinout between 93-96 and 98, i got them, e-mail me and I'll send you the files.
