Question 97 Z28 - Problems abound?

Hey guys. I have a '97 Z28, located at Pics of Car here - Page 2 are better. I bought it in March of '02 with 64,000 miles on it. I have had a few issues with it mostly in the beginning. I had to replace a carrier barrier in the rear end and the pinion seal twice. After that, she seems good to go. I have some small problems like she blows the front right turn signal bulb after 2 weeks but no biggies. I now have 87K on her. Any sort of common problems that I should be on the lookout for since her miles are getting up there? I'm a freak when it comes to regular maintenance on the car so she's been cared for? I hate owning a car when it has 100K or more on the odometer but then again, I really dig this car so I believe I can tolerate it. I had thought about getting one with lower mileage within the next year or so but I've bonded with mine..haha!

Just keep taking care of the car and wait for the opti to go out sooner or later, watch for the intake manifold leak as well. The leak occurs near the back left (pass side) of the intake manifold where the EGR tube goes to the manifold. I had that problem and have removed the EGR since then. Heat from the tube is believed to be the problem in effecting the seal back there and starting the leak although not proven. Other than that I think thats about it. Around this many miles a tune up should be in order if it has yet to be done. Well good luck and HTH.
