in my 95 bird, since I changed the plugs and wires I haven't got any worse than 17.5 mpg, and have got a best of 25, and that was with running 4 runs at the track, but mostly 18-19 with at least one WOT and all city. Oh and still the stock 3.42 rear and now 152,000 on the clock. With any highway run, gets better mileage than my almost full bolt-o 5speed v6 sonoma

It's probably more like 26, but its due largly in part because of 6th gear that thing is a MPG machine. 70mph at what 1600RPM? City driving is more like 16 depending on how you drive. If you skip gears and shift below 2k you can save more gas and probably get 17-18ish but I always go through all the gears and shift around 1800-1900 depending on what Im doing.

My Z28 is an auto with a 100 k miles. It averages 23 mpg. And I drive mostly city miles. On the highway, I get about 27 mpg. Mind you, I am gettin' it most everywhere I go. Hope you buy the car. You won't regret it...

I drive my M6 everyday,my fuel mileage is nice on the hwy 26-29 depending on my foot(LOL)
the main thing is where i live it has become sooo overly populated so driving my car in day to day stop-N-go traffic STINKS at times! I finally just about finished with my truck so i will not have to drive my car everyday,it's sad to say that, however i am affraid i will get hit by some no insurance having, ILLEGAL ALIEN in my Z......

Your mixed fuel economy is going to go down with a z28 no way around it, but it shouldn't be too bad. The problem is that if your a red blooded man you won't want to keep it stock and it won't be long until you want a bigger cam and stuff.

Keep in mind our fuel mix may be different. Currently we are using up to 10% alcohol which has a lower BTU. In Kalifornia, we will be introducing 15% fuel this year which will also hurt mileage... as well as fuel pumps, injectors, and any rubberized component that touches fuel.

Your fuel in Europe may have a different alcohol mix so your mileage may vary.
