96 Z28 dies after running for a little while

crank it up it runs fine , but after around 15 minutes it dies, will not crank right away but let it sit and it cranks right back up and does it all over again.

anyone else ever had this problem?????

no codes are getting set , and i have no idea what the problem is.

Maybe a sensor (for lack of better terminology) is getting heat soaked causeing it to die.

It may be the optispark distributor, there is a kit from MSD that Jegs sells it comes with MSD Optispark Distributor,MSD 6AL Igniton Box,MSD Blaster Coil,MSD Installation Wiring Harness,MSD Custom-Fit Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire for $989.99, i just got one, I love it.
But I just read someone elses post about the same problem and everyone else was also the opti but idk

thats great if you have the money but not nessisary if you dont. stock ignition is fine on a stock or bolt on car. just dont get a cheap *** opti. get msd or gm. if you go cheap go autozone that way when it goes out its free to replace.

The two parts most vulnerable to heat soak are the IC Module and the optical electronics in the Opti. Was the problem there BEFORE you installed the new Opti? Have you checked the accuracy of the coolant temp sensor in the water pump housing?
