My 1994 Z28 shuts off after driving 4 a while??why??

Once I start my Camaro Z28 and warm it up I my drive like a block or two and its shuts off. I may have to wait like 25 - 35 mintues to start it again. I just had the coil and the Spark module replaced but that wasent the problem. What can it be?? Im young and its my first V8 so im clueless

Are you getting the check engine soon light? If so you should have it scanned.

i had the same problem

check all the connections to alternator, battery are tight. then check the wire junction under the red oval plastic cover. mine had corrosion i used electronic parts cleaner and sanded the connectors to shiny

another problem that's not related but you should check is the coil wire (short wire to the opti) mine was corroded to hell w/ green fuzz. replaced that and the coil w/ a yellow accel coil and all stumble/hesitation went away

you must disconnect the battery before looking at these, esp the coil - -> lethal voltage

My first thought is the ign control module. The pattern is identical to an ign control problem I had in a car several years ago.

My ICM problem also involved popping the 10A fuse every time.

ICM... you can take it off and get it tested at auto zone. pretty much what they do is heat it up and see if it keeps working. thats why yours is probably bad. 20 bucks i think from autozone. check the connections listed above first since they are free then the ICM. if that dont fix it maybe coil...then opti and you will love that lol...

Many possibilities

Other possible causes are a clogged catalytic converter or the fuel delivery system. Have some one hook up a fuel presure gauge while it's running to see if it maintains pressure when it stalls.
