I dont say its your engine rpm climbing so high making it hit the revlimiter before it shifts slipping 4l60e happened to me had to get my tranny replaced thankfully it was under warrenty

that is odd why GM would do that. i mean if they built LT4s that passed in vettes then i see no reason the same motor wouldnt pass in an F-body. i hope that guy with the LT4 firehawk chimes in on this thread. i believe he installed a cam in his car so he could very easily have the stocker still laying around to varify what cam was in the LT4 F-body motors.

So then the 5750 with the Z-28 computer was actually 5550? Or do you mean the computer affects the tach? Either way, there is still 350 RPMs missing somewhere...
Hitting the rev limiter before shifting has occured since the car was new. Even replaced the tranny. Idiot didn't want to listen to me. Didn't want to believe that the starter drive gear was bouncing off the flexplate. Replaced my trans for free! I replaced the starter before I turned the car in to him. There was no noise, but he changed the tranny anyway. Wasn't going to argue, after all, he was the professional and I was a nobody...
