96 LT1 running rich, not wanting to idle.
Ok i have a 96 camaro with an LT1 that i completely rebuilt but basically the only power adders are a set of trick flow heads, a comp cams xfi 280 cam headers, wires a couple other little things. I had it programmed through trifecta performance and the car runs pretty rich and does not want to idle and will die most of the time, the owner of Trifecta hasnt come up with anything to help yet and im not sure what to think either. Also ive had to change one set of plugs already due to being fouled. Please help and tell me why this could be happening.
Please generate a sig for us to show your mods. Most likely you have to do some tuning. No big deal. You need to scan the car with something such as Freescan or Datamaster and then determine where the issues are through Trifecta. Most likely, you have to do such simple things as your TB stop screw and a few other tuning changes once your tuner knows what to change.
Check your temp sensor thats in the water pump make sure its connected and not corroded up and the harness is in good shape.
What mods have you done to get the o2 sensors long enough for the headers? Did you buy extensions or did you make your own, if so which harness did you splice the car harness or the o2 side of the harness.
Any exhaust leaks anywhere? You're not running open headers are you?
Did you change injectors and not happen to mention that?
Is it running rich right off the bat or does it run ok and then kinda go to hell after a minute or two.

Yeah an o2 sensor extension came with the headers i bought and it is wired in the the driver side sensor. I have no aftermarket injectors unless they were on the car previous to me owning it. There are a couple little exhaust leaks but other than that its a full system, and yes it runs ok when cold then it starts to richen out alot more when it heats up which would be closed loop kicking in but i have disabled closed loop and it still does it. I ordered a hotter coil and another different set of plugs tha will be here monday or tuesday and im going to see if that helps at all.

Are the Trick FLows "out of the box", or were they ported, and milled to reduce the 62mm combustion chamber volume and restore the compression ratio?
In order to get it tuned, you had to tell the tuner what injectors you were running. What did you tell him? What is your fuel pressure?
Its a 96. He can't use Freescan or Datamaster, unless he's also done an OBD-I conversion that isn't listed.

The trick flows are out of the box. The tuner did not ask anything about injectors until i started having these problems more regularly, he said it could have something to do with injector size but they appear to be stock and i have not checked what my fuel pressure is yet about that though isnt there an adjustable screw on my fuel pressure regulator so that i can control fuel pressure or do i have to buy an adjustable one?
