96 camaro z28 Lt1 cranks no spark no start
Re: 96 camaro z28 Lt1 cranks no spark no start
Could be FPR. Check the pressure.
Turn key to “RUN”. Pump should prime for 2-seconds and shut off. Pressure should reach at least 40 PSI, and drop very slowly if at all.
Start engine. Remove vacuum compensation line from FPR. Design pressure is 43.5 PSI. GM spec accepts anything in the range of 41-47 PSI. Reattach vacuum line. Pressure should drop proportional to intake manifold vacuum, about an 8-10 PSI drop from the “no vacuum” pressure. That’s for the stock cam. Drop will be less with a more aggressive cam.
Tape gauge to windshield. On the road go WOT to at least 5,000 RPM. Pressure should not drop below 40 PSI.
How did you determine you only had to replace one injector?
