Just got this 95 Z28 LT1 5.7 Camaro a couple weeks ago. Ran like a scalded dog. Coming home the other day, I dropped the auto trans selector down into 2nd and goosed it (did not even floor it). The SES light came on, and iIt started running so rough I barely got it home. Won't idle. Starts, but I have to continuously work the accelerator to keep it running. It will rev up above 4 or 5K, but I have to continuously work the pedal to keep it running.

Replaced the MAF sensor; no joy. It has the OBD1 system with the 16 pin OBD2 connector, so I got the right ALDL cable and installed the scan9495 software. I get data, but the software tells me that there are no codes, even though I have an SES light and it runs horribly. Anybody have any idea what I can try from here. I was sure that I was going to find a code that would put me on the right track. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

I don't know much about this stuff, but if scan9495 says no codes, I'm suspicious that everything is working correctly between the PCM and the software.

GaryDoug is a member here and is the author of scan9495. There's no better resource. Maybe send him a PM?
