I guess i will take off the timing cover and take off the reluctor so i can use my stock 95 hub.
Youll notice that when you take off the reluctor that it was located with the key and the earlier hub wil not press al the way on. You can cover everything good and grind that down back to the crank timing gear to make it work.

Does someone know whats the length of the 93/95 long type crank hub?

And also the length of the 96/97 short type crank hub?

Im having some help with a nice member who got one but would need the full length spec of each.

Thank you

Ok found out with the mighty internet the length of each hub.

-93/95 crank hub lenght: 3.516"

-96/97 crank hub lenght: 3.417"

Im having all this trouble because of a .099" difference

Here is my last question(at least i think )...

My friend is a machinist that got everything at his shop to create or modify parts so he told me to bring him a 93/95 hub and he will shorten it with of course maximum precision. So that would cost me nothing.

Can i take a 93/95 hub(3.516") and just machine the end of it to take off the .099" to create the hub with the correct 3.417" length ?

Thank you
