94 lt1 engine noise

Just bought the car a few days ago. I knew it might have an issue but I don't mind a project. The car had sat in a garage for 5 years, mileage is 180k. 1st thing I did when I got it home is changed the oil. Oil pressure at full warm up is around 25psi at idle. I figure it might need a rebuild.
Now to the noise. Its more of a clank. Don't hear it until the car is warmed up and the noise goes away at 1000 rpm and above. Sounds like it is coming from the drivers side. Noise is more prevalent under the car. The car starts and runs well. For me it has pleny of power. I have never really owned a sports car so I don't really know how to gauge the power. I don't think there is any loss of power.
Any help is appreciated.

People will need to hear it to make any kind of suggestion. Post a video if you can.

25 PSI oil pressure at hot idle is OK for that high mileage. Look for at least 10 PSI per 1,000 RPM when driving. e.g. 40 PSI @ 4,000 RPM.

My brother just looked at a car with and had similar issue you describe . But the noise while you could hear it underneath it was more easier to gear with ever slight rev and under drivers valve cover ..turned out it had a back rocker only.

I think its all in the head(I am hoping anyway), maybe from sitting so long? I know there is an exhaust leak on the passenger side.

Found a really weird thing. Car wont start unless the heater is off. I assume its not getting enough juice? Seems strange.

Have you pulled the valve covers and checked your rockers?

No I haven't yet. I think I am going to rebuild the motor. With that many miles on it I figure it is probably time.

Re: 94 lt1 engine noise

It's the hotair intake..
lol,jk..but that really contributed to my car running warm, that and a few other things..get rid of that after the rebuild for sure..i don't know alot about these engines but I do know they love to run hot and heat is their killer with ironblocks n aluminum heads..ugh,I hate that..id rather have the few extra lbs with iron heads on an iron block .
but to be honest , it sounds like just a exhaust manifold leak.. got any lean codes ????
but after hearing the 2nd vid and hearing the sound is still prominent on passenger side, idk..

Ya I am not sure what it is. I know when I go above 1k it disappears. If it wasn't so cold in the newly built shop I would pull the valve cover. I am a wuss in the cold.
