You wouldn't have to get a MAF, you could continue to use SD mode.

With the 93 you don't have to worry about having a dead car while you send the PCM out for repair after a bad flash...

ya, i understand what your saying but i still want to be able to tune it with a labtop. o ya, i am used to having a "dead" car. it breaks all the time, lol. should i just be able to get the pcm and wiring harness from another lt1 and it should run just fine? after a tune of course for my mods

Re: 94-95 pcm in a 93?

You can just as easily program the PROM as you could the later model PCMs. I personally like the idea of a PROM since you can always keep a "stock" PROM to plug in in the event of a bad program rather than have to down load another program.

Also, your 93 is batch fired injectors. It's not clear if the wiring for each injector is set up so the later PCMs will function correctly for them to be sequential. I don't have the wiring diagrams for 93's to answer that but I'm sure someone here will chime in.

He stated in the first post that he realizes he has to upgrade the harness.

ya i realize i need a wire harness. also i want to be able to tune it on a labtop, because there is no where around this area that can dyno tune a 93 lt1 because they don't have the tools to do it. but there is a few that can do it for 94+. thanks
