94,95,&96 LT1 shortblock?

Go on eBay and get a cover for a '94 or an opti for a '95/'95

You need to run the 94 timing chain, cam, front cover, and distributor as they are different than the later ones
These parts have to match each other:
The timing set has splines to run the earlier opti spark
The timing cover seals to the opti drive shaft
The cam pin is shorter on the earlier cam as it does not drive the opti.

Another mistake. ALL 95 LT1's have the vented Opti, and the unique 1995-only timing cover.

Yes, starting in mid-94, all LT1's got the PM (powdered metal) rods. I was simply pointing out that this change was not made in 1996, which is what was stated in one of your posts above.

The hot cam came out of the 95 will that be a problem?
