93 lt1
93 lt1
Guys im at wits end with this car. I have a 93 lt1 fully forged bottom to top just finished rebuilding it about 4 months ago ive been trying to get it running since. Its a supercharged 383 engine now and ive converted it to ltcc which was working fine. But now it wont start again, i had this problem before i did my ltcc conversion so i converted it to ltcc it ran for a bit didnt idle and acted as though it had at least 2 dead misses i check everything about the ltcc that is not the problem as it was doing the exact thing before the install. Now she wont even start it cranks over and hiccups a bit but takes a lot to get her started then it wont idle everything in this engine is brand new and i do have a mail order tune. My question is what could be causing this problem, i had a ground strap left over could this be my problem or could my computer just have died? Im really starting to get frustrated with this car all i want to do is drive it and i cant even get it running. So if you have any ideas just let me know if you live in the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana maybe you can come look at it. I just dont know what to do anymore with it, and that sad
Thanks a lot

only thing i havent done is get a good code reader on it, been working too much to do this but i will eventually get to it i dont have any check engine lights i know that doesnt mean anything tho. i got it to crank a the other day but it ran terrible and died didnt idle it acts like it had at least 2 dead misses in it i just wish i could get some help with this thing
If it wouldn't start and you put a LTCC on to "fix" that I would be willing to bet the LTCC never "fixed" anything.
I think you had an intermittent problem that just happened to go away for a little when you put the LTCC on.
If you take the time to understand how things work the LTCC NEEDS A FUNCTIONAL OPTI, a worn out cap and rotor might cause a hard start in wet weather or the like but will act up before it gets to a no start condition. A worn out cap and rotor is all the LTCC could possibley "fix".
I would start checking the opti harness and such. Get a scan tool on it and see if it registers RPM as it cranks. If it doesn't see rpm I would strongly suspect an opti/wiring issue.

i didnt get the ltcc to fix the problem persay but it was part of it i believe that my optical sensor may be bad as well but bob said that it doenst sound like it and my lights on my ltcc seem to be working but i get a blinking red light 3 times which means that the pulses are being miscounted but when i told bob that he said check the green light if it doesnt blink then your optical sensor is connecting correctly or something of that nature
