Are they sa or nsa? If you want a good set and a set that will last awhile look in to comp or crane.

it says "New Super Duty Series Stainless SELF ALIGNING SHAFT MOUNT roller rocker arms for your small block Chevy". Then it also says "These are MUCH STRONGER than the single self aligning rockers with the little lips on the edge of the roller. " Then my question i dont think i have 3/8 studs? it says "They are 1.6 ratio and for standard 3/8 rocker studs."
thanks

You may have a problem or you may not; here's why.

The Vette heads that came on the early 86 years couldn't take the 1.6 rockers without pulling the heads to have the pushrod slots elongated.

Failing to do that will cause you to end up having a basket full of bent pushrods.

Now, I don't know how much of a change was made in your 96 heads that may or may not allow the higher ratio rockers.

What happens is higher ratio rockers move the pushrod cup on the rocker arm to move closer to the rocker stud. This also moves the pushrod closer to the outboard side of the head. If the pushrod slot in the head isn't long enough, they'll be interference/binding and bent pushrods will be the result.

Best I can recommend is to try to find someone who's running the same heads and high ratio rockers or find someone who has tried and found they wouldn't work.

You'll need .030" clearance checked at different valve lift points.

Hope this helps,

Jake

Exactly what does an 86 Vette have to do with a 96 Impala??

Please post a link to these rockers so we can see exactly what they are.

Things sound a little odd.

Both have iron heads and the slots in those heads may be similar. If so, clearance issues.

The Impala is an LT1, completely different heads. You are thinking about old stuff where the head acted as the guide plate, COMPLETELY NOT APPLICABLE.

Calm down, my friend. I'm not challenging your throne. I'm pointing out clearance issues to be considered.
