93 hot cam dowel pin

93 hot cam dowel pin

How am i supose to pound the pin down with out damaging the pin or cam Just wondering how evey one else done it?

I used a set of vicegrips and hammered the pin out. I think you are going to have to get a longer dowel pin anyway. You can go to your local machine shop and pick up a longer pin.

If you bought the cam from gm just place it on a piece of wood and tap it in till it is the same length as the dowel on your stock cam. HTH

I was not able to tap my pin in, it went a little bit and then wouldn't budge. I simply used a dremel to grind it down the right length.
