Converting coolent back to dexcool

I recently had my coolent flushed since I just bought my car less than a year ago. The place that changed it put the green stuff in after they drained and flushed it. They said that the coolent that they drained looked as if it had been mixed and they did not want to fill with the dexcool since they said that it looked as if there had already been a small leak at the waterpump. I want to know what I have to do to go back to the dexcool. They said that I would have to have a flush that GM calls for that requires removing all the cooling system hoses and cleaning them as well as replacing the water pump and flushing the radiator for longer. I am thinking about putting in a different radiator anyway.

My question is has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to convert back.

Thanks

A lot of us have gone away from Dexcool.
I use the regular Ethylene Glycol (Green stuff).
As far as I know the new coolants are all safe for all systems, unless they specifically say there not.
I never liked Dexcool because it seemed like it "clumped" up so much. Its also hard to tell if you have a corrosion problem because the particles don't stand out as well.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of opinions but a search will probably get you the same results.

Here's a link that really explains it.....
