Is 8.7 DCR to high for pump gas?

Depends on the gas too... the EMC guys have trouble with high 8's to 9.0 DCR on 91 Shell pump gas.

The gas down here is nothing special. It's not oxygenated either.
When ya are in a CONTEST to extract the last bit of HP&Torque I can see 91 being a problem.
What they should do is let um build them like they want and put a KR on every engine. Then when it rattles it pulls timing and by by HP.

Some places it's much worse than others.... it's the mix of the RON and MON that makes the diff, and each state has their own standards.

I am running 8.7 on the dot. My pistons rattle tons, but actuall knock? nope haven't seen any.

Listen to mindgame, upwards of 9.0 shouldn't be too big of a problem. Good tune and good gas.
