Yeah I know about the pipe I was just curious. Anyway flow #'s don't mean **** when you put down over 430rwhp. How would that cam be for a daily driver?

It honestly is not that bad. It's a little lacking below 3500, but comes on very strong past that. The 4:10s help too. I wish we could have run a bit more compression in the motor (closer to 11.8:1 vs. the current 11.0:1), which would have helped a good bit with that. However, we were on a very tight scheule and ran out of time to get the heads milled a bit more, so we just had to leave it be. We don't plan on keeping this motor in there too long - she really wants to build a 383 in the summer.

It's good to see that you guys are still messing around with the ol’ LTx motors too.

Do you think 11.8 would be too much for pump gas even on AL heads? I'm gonna want as much as I can run safely. Allan should be able to tune it for whatever I'm running anyway, right?

Jason,

I didn't see the MAF setup mentioned in your original post. Is it an LT1 MAF? LS1? Z06? Ported / descreened or stock?

Thanks!

It's a screened, stock LT1 MAF.

11.8:1 would be fine. That's what I was running on my old 396 LT1.

Anything under 12:1 should be easy enough to tune on 93.

Allan is magic.

It pulls like that all the way to the 7k limiter! It feels like it never stops pulling!

So where are you gonna set the shift light at? I know you built that motor to go well past 7k!
