416.8 Hp 437.5 Ft/p

I just got back from the dyno my 383 hotcam motor with ported lt1 heads made 416.8 hp and 437.5 ft/p on the last pull.

the first pull made about 400/400

all figures are rear wheel btw

thats pretty good for that size cam............throw a bigger cam in that engine and really make some power!

torque

the torque is pretty flat it starts at about 380-390 at 2600 rpm

i have a system in the back with yokahamas it seems to grab ok but in first it hops all over the place!!!!

car is very streetable it runs real smooth, it doesnt lope much and with the cut out closed no one has a idea that they are about to get whoped!! I ground a whole pile out of the bowls and port matched the runners, then I blew my motor and sent them to a local speed shop for futher grinding and bigger valves. I dont want to post where the work was done because alot of people have mixed feelings about their product!!!

i think a big part of the power numbers are the compression. I run 12.5:1 on sunoco ultra 94. I can get away with that high compression because of the 94 octane and the genaraly cooler canadian weater!!!!

Your lucky. All I can get around here is 90 or 91 octance
