Oil in Intake Manifold
Oil in Intake Manifold
I was replacing my air filter today and just happened to look in the intake manifold and noticed that it had a nice coating of oil inside. It doesn't seem like there should be oil in the intake manifold, is this the sign of something bad?
This may not be it, BUT I would imagine its from that line that goes from the passenger side valve cover and runs up to the throttlebody. I believe its part of the PCV system. If you take off the plate on top of the throttlebody you'll probably find it in there too... I removed the plastic elbow coming out of the valve cover and replaced with a breather filter and I'm assuming it keeps it back because the car has run better ever since! Its in a thread on here if you want the part number....whoever figured it out rules!
