Re: 396/Super Vic/Front End Conversion/Daily Driver

I posted this thread over at LS1tech.com but I cannot get on thier web-site. is anyone else having trouble? I've been wondering how tony's dyno went. I stopped by in Austin to see tony's set-up when I was on the way back from picking up my motor. It's a Beast!!
The way it's looking now i might be dyno'ing mine with the stock rear and the carbon fiber driveshaft. I dont think I will have my rear for a couple of months.

Hey guys. This is the Tony they are talking about. Like what was mentioned above......my motor will not see its full potential until I can spin past the 7250 rpm mark held back by the stock PCM. I do recommemd a FAST system for anyone doing this conversion. I am now getting one after seeing what happened on the dyno.

Asudecat.....again.....LOOKS GOOD!!

SStrokerAce is doing mine, (AKA) Bret Bauer at Bauer Racing Engines. Its not really cheap but basically we have Inferior intakes and we can't get LS1 numbers without a Very good intake (Hence the single plain). I paid like $250 for 90MM TB, $195 for the elbow, $210 for the intake, $105 for TPS and IAC adapter (I think), and about $800 or so do get everything Converted and done ( I did get a few extra things done so that cost a little bit more. Another intake to look at is the Accel Pro Ram (same intake Joe overton used). Its already Fuel injected, so that already cuts the cost and Bret Bauer is trying to get an elbow setup to use our twin style TB's, so if somone wanted to use there existing 58mm TB they could.
Also with a intake setup like this you can run a nitrous plate system like this one http://www.zex.com/ go to Product Videos, and then click on PERIMETER PLATE NITROUS KIT to watch the Video.

Re: 396/Super Vic/Front End Conversion/Daily Driver

so all that for around ~$1500 right? does it come ported too? and everything to set it up to be fuel injected still? does that price include installation or no? and where is he located?
thanks

p.s. how much more hp does it make than a race ported lt4 intake manifold and a accel super ram?
