396/Super Vic/Front End Conversion/Daily Driver

I know a couple of guys that have or are in the process of doing the single plane intake conversion.
As of right now this car will be a daily driver. So It is a hydraulic roller and stock computer. But when i get another vehicle I will drop a solid roller and look into a fast set-up.
here is my web page

Flow #'s are on the web page as well

I will post more info Later

Yea LME did all the work pretty much. I really like how they cleared the thermostat housing out.(If you noticed that)

Looks good....

Might was well cut the thermostat housing off, I always do. It's useless and a bunch of added weight.

Why did you convert to LS1 front end? IMO LT1 looks better....We are building a similar setup also...I like yours.

Looks great. I plan on going the same route (single plane) when I get back. Look forward to seeing what kind of power you make.

The flow numbers on your heads look killer.

You have any RWHP projections yet? And if it's not too crass, what kind of $$$ did the heads and intake cost? If you don't want to say, that's cool, but your flow numbers have me thinking real hard about this now.

Yea the flow #'s were very impressive. As of right now im shooting for the 500rwhp mark with a carbon fiber driveshaft and 9'' truetrac rear.
I bought the heads from a dealer I know here for about 800 something and the full port was about 2k. Then of course you supply the the rockers springs and ect that you want.
And your right there in Houston even. I would give them a call. You also get another 3% discount if you ask for it.

Re: 396/Super Vic/Front End Conversion/Daily Driver

Even with the 9inch Rear this thing SHOULD do 500RWHP, Bret has my intake right now. I will post pics of my setup when I get my heads and intake back. I will be getting my car dynoed with the 10-bolt, lol, I have heard of 9inch rears eating up 30RWHP.
Awsome setup AGAIN your car reminds me alot of mind, Front end Ws6 Clip and all.

Re: 396/Super Vic/Front End Conversion/Daily Driver

Tony Over at Ls1tech, Just put down 490RWHP at 7250 with his 396 AFR 227 heads a 26X/27X solid Roller and a Edelbrock Victor E single plain through a 9inch Rear, A4 tranny with Very little tuning, 12.0 AFR and a UNLOCKED 4600 stall.
I have seen 40RWHP from an unlocked Converter, I think they are planning on sticking in the Stock stall to really fine Tune it. With more tunning this thing should Easily see more than 500RWHP, and the bigger kicker I believe is that this motor OF HIS should be spun to 8,000 at least to see full benifit we think his motor could easily see 550RWHP+ with more RPM. LOL, time for a Fast setup.

If I am not mistaken You can make just as much power with a HR as a SR from 7000RPM down CORRECT EVERYONE. Also if he had a Super VIC IT would help a good bit, from my understanding a Super Vic intake is alot better than the Victor E or Vic JR.
