well whats the horsepower advantage out of an 11:1 motor vs. a 12:1? is it really worth it?

The 13.3 to 1 396 idled almost like stock with the cam being a 114 and made 451rwhp and 450 rt. Really a fun car to drive and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Great throttle response but not a lot of extra hp when it's all said and done, but every bit helps.

Yep the idle will improve and so will the low RPM TQ at WOT and part throttle so it drives better as well.

The name of the game really should be dynamic compression vs static compression as it takes more events into account and gives a much truer picture. However, I'd do 12 to 1 static compression over 11 to 1 with a smile on my face as long as the camshaft has appropriate duration to what most strokers run these days. No big whoop.
