Unless you are setting this up with unusually large bearing clearances a HV pump is just a waste of HP.

I personally believe it will be better especially since you have the canton pan more oil is always better

Good call If you dont have the tools to fix it you pay someone who does right? Or in the case of the dude you bought it from you sell it... Good snag!

lol yeah. It technically "runs" but it knocks like a sob

Its a 6 speed with a short throw shifter, loud mouth exhaust and some other little goodies.

How about an update with a parts list of what you've got there? What are you looking at quench, head flow, head gasket, cam, and valvetrain wise?

I took them off to clean up the pan real good. I may put some back on. I can make em so its not a big deal.

The gaskets I got ended up being for a 350 not a lt1 Gotta get some new ones but they will be a .040 thick gasket. Heads are 249/189. I still need to figure out what custom cam #'s to run. Once I get that figured out I can get alot of work done.

Even though flow numbers don't really mean much, yours are hardly better than as-cast LT4s. Not real impressive...unfortunately.
