383 Stroker and Cam question
The cc306 lacks midrange power.
I have the XE 230/236 112 in my 383. Its very streetable. You can hear there is a cam there but no serious lope unless you're in reverse at idle.
Makes great power everywhere. Yes I could have gone bigger but I like the street manners of this one.
Vid of it in my signature under POOR TRACTION.
Ignore the high idle. It was a tuning isse. Fixed now.

CC 306: 230-244 , .510-.540,
Xe 230-236 L 521-.540
so its hard to call one bigger than the other
306 has more exhuast durration and Xe has more intake lift as well as steeper ramps.

Go to nu-tek They have a good selection of stroker cams that have a good lift to them. I am getting the 233/240 112 cam. Very big lift just under .600. This cam is going in my 396 build.
