383 LE3/LE4 Dyno
He spent a few hours playing with it again, both in the shop and while I was driving. Most of the idle/stalling problems are gone and overall it's closer to being "done". I'm taking the car back again in the next few weeks to address some small issues...that may just end up being "cam surge".
I've been driving the car almost everyday and the biggest problem I'm having now is the lack of traction at certain times.

Heh ... Honest office, there must have been somemoisture on the road.
448rwhp is quite respectable for that setup. Gratz

Sometimes you can iron the surge out, sometimes you can't.
I guess I've been lucky, Ed Wright had been able to get all of my setups
to idle very well over the years. This next cam will be the biggest challenge I've thrown at him LOL
Which is why I was reading though threads like this one looking hints
as to what gremlins I'd be fighting down the road.
Sounds like you're making progress. That's a good thing

either. At least, not by mail. He told me something must be wrong with my
motor and that there was another 20rwhp or so hidden in there
somewhere. The tune was so bad the dyno operator refused to run it.
I had to make changes using a friend's laptop and burner to make it drivable.
I took it to Ed a few weeks later and he not only fixed the idle but found
an additional 30hp. I should have gone there in the first place. The man
has tuned 3 of my cars and done an excellent job each time.
I'm not screwing around this time, the car will start with an Ed Wright
mail order tune and make the trip down for a dyno update.
Granted, Tulsa is a whole lot closer to me than it is to you.
To Alvin's credit, they do do a pretty good job on bolt-on tunes.
