355LT4 solid roller vid

I finally am close to getting th car out of the garage. It runs and sounds pretty good IMHO. Just a quick idle vid. What do ya think?

355 LT4 with TFS heads. 12.5:1, Cam Motion SR (263/270) Forged Eagle crank and rods, JE domed pistons, LT's, LT4 intake, Jessel shaft mount rockers, ect... Its going thru a 3" Flowmaster catback that is going to be tossed at some point. But I have to keep something on it be able to run it otherwise its just way too loud.

BTW, this is still not tuned so it is running a bit rich. As if you cant tell from the smoke when it starts Just ignore that part, lol. Its a work in progress and it has almost no tuning yet. Just enough to get it running...

But the car is almost done. The MSD is disconnected. That is the culprit with the communication problem I was having. I have to redo all the MSD wiring and try it again. Also needs to have the brakes bleed and some suspension adjustments made. Some more wiring and tinkering and then its off to a dyno for some tuning. looking for 450RWHP. (I hope)

Its actually not idling too bad. Its at 1200 now, anything less and it wants to stall.

I need to listen to it at home when I can turn the volume up, but with the little bit I can here in my cubicle it sounded pretty good, but the flowmast needs to go...

Nice. Fast idle, sounds built to punish. Try a dyno or a few runs at the track with that exhaust, then switch to see the difference. Look forward to hearing more.

my prediction would be more than 450rwhp. if your like me , you don't like to set yourself up for disappointment. so we aim a little lower to keep it safe. good luck man i think it will make you very happy .

Yeah the heads were built by TEA. 220cc CNC port work, 63cc chambers, 2.08/1.60 valves... flowed 317cfm at .700" on TEA's bench. BTW, I'm shooting for 450 RWHP so that means this thing needs to make over 550 n/a to have a shot at that goal. I still think its doable.

I'm like you. This build started out 2 years ago as a mild HR... next thing I know I am buying parts for something 10x that, lol.

very nice build up man. Sounds alot like my old setup but with a bigger cam. You should be able to hit your goal pretty easy.

Ditch that flowmaster ASAP. Sounds nice but it is porbably costing you double digit rwhp.

I'm sure it will. I plan to have a custom set up made on the car... just some bullets and dumps since it is a race car. I only put the exhaust back on cause its just way too loud without it. Ask me how I know...

Sounds good, B. Probably a good thing you've got a good transmission in it.

Can't wait to see/hear it in real life, sounds good...

Oh, is your tach getting it's feed from the MSD? If not it doesn't appear to be working either...
