Ken that looks awsome! I tried to put my tach in there as well. I had an old Autometer street tack in chrome but the trim ring made it just a hair too big to fit. I made 3 different versions. My final version looks similar to the one i just showed but its got a big red chevy emblem in there as well along with an led for the ses.

Oh and in case you guys missed it the dyno vid is in my sig.

Ken I want to go make a cluster for the dash now lol I always wished there was enough room for a big tach there. I'm pretty sure the LS1 guys can fit a 5" tach.

2 reasons. the stock accessory bracket it mounts to is gone, and it wont fit in the stock location with the tall valve cover I have. Need big covers to clear the shaft mount rockers.

Yes, Eagle crank/rods and JE pistons.

Sure accelerates nice in that dyno vid.
Can't wait to hear what it does at the track.

Yeah, you're gonna see a lot of slip in that drivetrain setup. HP numbers are not terribly important.
What is important is making sure it is tuned properly; if you can do that yourself, awesome.
(No valve float, curve appropriate for your setup and no ultra-rich/ultra-lean spots)

would you believe I didnt go? Yeah its actually become a house hold joke now because something always happens or comes up and I end up not going. My priorities are really in the wrong place. I need to put them back on the car and get it over with. My wife has even said its rediculious how many time I have planed a trip and didn't make it...

the efi event? Well I was having my hating and ac system replaced at the house. My uncle was doing it on the side. Guess when the only time available he had to do it was? I spent the weekend putting in a new heater at the house. Saved me some big time loot but I missed the track. I swear i am going to get out some day in the future... as soon as I do I will post up the results that night. Even if I blow it up on the starting line I will post up asap!

I didnt do the tunning. The dyno is in the garage behind this guys house around here. He does alot of LS1 and Mustang tuning. I had the software so he did the tuning with my software. Its still on the conservative side I am sure I am leaving some on the table but I would much rather be on the safe side.

It pulls hard on the street. I have never had it past the end of my street so I am limited to 1st gear romps. If I can get the shift points right and it doesnt run out of gear I think it should run a low 11 without a problem. Maybe crack some 10's if I work on it and fine tune everything. I'll be happy to see it go down the track even if its slow.
