355 rebuild Dyno!

So I finally dynoed the LT1 like a week ago at Danny's shop(Lethal Performance in SA). I put down 380 RWHP and 353 RWTQ... I have the video of the pull on my comp if anybody wants to host it. I was really happy with the numbers being that I just have a little bitty ole hotcam in the car. Next step is a BIGGER CAM :-D Anyways somebody let me know if they wanna host the vid. Also it only has like 2000 miles on it... Will it get stronger in the next couple thousand miles?? If so, how much?

Re: 355 rebuild Dyno!

Thanks! Everybody hates on the hotcam but it looks like it IS capable of some real power.... However, I am going with the GM847 really soon so I will have new numbers for yall! Any guesses as to what I will put down going with my same setup but just switching out the hotcam with the GM847?

What's done to the heads? Any flow numbers? valve size?

I'm interested in flow numbers on the heads as well. Also curious as to why you're ready to swap cams out so quickly?

Very good numbers!

Nice numbers! by any chance do you have any cost numbers and did you do the install and rebuild yourself? I'm looking at outting my car in the shop soon and am very interested.

Re: 355 rebuild Dyno!

Intake:
.100-------61.9
.200-------89.1
.300-------173.8
.400-------220
.500-------253.6
.550-------264.3
.600-------273.9

Exhaust:
.100-------58.3
.200-------115.3
.300-------147.1
.400-------174.00
.500-------181.8
.550-------185.5
.600-------185.9

Heads were done by a local shop that does ALOT of LT1/LS1 stuff... I think its what they call a "Stage 2", with 2.02 intake valves and 1.55 exhaust. They flow pretty well... I want to do a bigger cam soon because i want to take advantage of the heads with higher lift... But first I am going to do little things like a Electric Water Pump, ASP pulleys, and I'm waiting for the MSD Opti to come out before I do any cam swapping... Rebuild costed me about 3,000. I got forged crank(cant remember the brand), JE forged rods and pistons. The pistons are domed so it bumped my compression up to 11:1. I also am thinking about swithing out the AS&M mids for longtubes and a 3.5" exhaust. This is also through a stock untouched throttle body and stock MAF... So i want to do a bunch of little things and try to hit 400 before I change cams!

So what made you go with danny at leathal instread of corey at henderson performance? Just wondering. My car broke down on the way to coreys dyno on friday I bought used rr's and used them even though a couple had wear on the sa tabs. One jumped off a valve. I broke a spring, bent a pushrod, and bent a valve Looks like its time for me to do a forged 355 too

I just heard of danny first and have been goin to him for about 2 years now. Nothing against corey i just stick with what works ya know... But Lethal doesnt have the software to tune my car so I will have to go elsewhere(corey) to get it tuned Good luck on the car, that sucks man!

If the tolerances are tight inside it might loosen up a bit and gain some power

That would be cool... Who knows for sure. Either way I'm pleased with the results. With the electric water pump and a couple other little things i am gonna try to be one of the few to hit 400 rear wheel with the hotcam! I will definitely keep yall informed. Oh and i'm gonna put up the dyno sheet later on tonight i think.
