Lightbulb 323 to 373 gear change

No improved MPH or ET after the gear change from 323 to 373. 60ft time did not improve, it was unchanged. I thought that I would pickup 2 to 3 tenths, but i didn't.

What exactly are your 60 foot times?
Do you have a stall?
I also changed to 3.73s from 3.23s and did not see a gain but it did spin more off the line.
Since I put in the stall and suspension stuff I can see the gears working better.

What were the times? Were the track conditions IDENTICAL? If not, it's tough to accept your data as proof.

Revtime brings up a good point about the stall speed. Matching that to the powerband of your cam will help out quite a bit.

Gears don't guarantee a drop in E. T. Your setup has to be able to make use of the extra revs you can get from them. Then, there is always the traction issue.
