Re: 300$$ what to buy

yeah i won't be able to afford headers right now, i'm just gonna be getting hooker jet hot headers, with a cat back system.i like the sound of the hooker cat back system, but i like a little more noise inside

i used to have a mustang, so i know what it's like to have something loud.

ahh, ok, now it makes sense, read your post about that, it says you can't afford headers right now, but you are getting hooker jet hot headers.

Re: 300$$ what to buy

no, that y pipe will only work with lt headers. the catback will join righ up with your current y pipe, you won't need a y pipe until you get headers. for now just get rid of your cats and either get a tune, or pick up a set of o2 sim's.

Re: 300$$ what to buy

i get confused between cats and cat backs....

i can remove the cats, and install the catback and i'll be fine, or does the hooker system automatically do that, like the slp system does?

the cats are on the Y pipe, the cat-back doesn't replace that.

Unless your talking about email tune, plan on paying more than 80 bucks for the tune. Yeah it only costs 80 bucks for him to do it, but then you have to add in the 13 it costs for him to ship it back to you, and whatever it costs for you to ship it to him. In my case another 11 bucks from the other end of the state. So plan on atleast 100 bucks depending on where you live for a tune.

when someone says "cat" or "cats" they mean the catallytic converter. It's the main thing(s) on your car that keeps ya from polluting the air.
