A hypertech 160 degree thermostat, best money I've spent on my car.

Re: 300$$ what to buy

I'd get a tune from someone like madz28.com and a cold air intake. You could do both of those for the $400. As far as Hypertech, it isn't worth it for power. I have one, but I use it for other stuff (fan turn-on, shift firmness, etc.) The power programming option on it is utter crap. With a good tune and a CAI, you could see a nice difference though. A thermostat is also a cheap upgrade, though a small one.

You have a six speed in your car, i would definatly go for the 4:10 gears right away and still spin a little over 2 k on the highway at 70mph. Youll love the difference.

You could go with a CAI from ebay for about $60-100 then free mods then prog if you got any left go with gears.

I think there is a way to do the eliminate the skip shift free. Do Throttle body bypass and if you don't worry about emission go with no cat and EGR/AIR

Ebay intake $100 at most + $80 program and you still have $100-200 for gears. In the program you can eliminate skipshift. With this you should have a solid 13s car.

CAI, 160 stat and basic tune incl. A/F, rev limiter and fans. The Skip shift can be done on the cheap. No Hypercrap, esp with an M-6. JMHO.

A Pro 5.0 shifter and a cold air kit, and maybe an exhaust cutout if you can squeeze it in.

Re: 300$$ what to buy

Throttle body bi-pass - free on 95+
160* thermostat - $20
Cold Air intake - $100
Tune from MADZ28 - $200
Pacesetter headers - $280
4.10 gears installed - $500
New plugs (Yes these help alot) NGKTr55s - $30

Those are the mods i suggest in that order. I wouldnt get a tune without a thermostat and intake since you already have an exhaust.
