3 of my gmpp guideplates aren't hardened
Well I'm in the middle of putting on my pac1518's and I found 3 guideplates aren't hardened.
They are a different color than the others and they have quite a bit of wear on them. I'm guessing summit has a huge stock on them and didn't take out the non-hardened ones.
I have yet to ever see a truly hardened one.
None of mine were hardened, so I hardened them myself using Kasenit, oxy acetylene torch and a bucket of water.
The original plates I had all wore some and even one enough for the rocker to fall off the valve, that was exciting.
The ones I hardened my self have 7K miles and not the slightest blimish in the slots.

it was recommended to me by lloyd that i run these guideplates. Trick Flow 30400623-8. they are hardened pretty well as per the "file test" and rocker tip placement was good on my le1's. havent run it yet gotta wait a couple more weeks for my vacation time to stab it in.

Isky adjustibles are working very nicely on my setup. The GMPP ones were all tore up when I started the cam swap. Not a bit of wear on the Iskys, plus I can adjust right where I want everything to sit.
