What kind of oil did you use in it, that way we know what not to use because of the buildup it has.

Bent Rod because of hydrolock due to a leaky head gasket? I've heard of that happening before, it's quite common as far as catastrophic engine failures go.

At least you didn't have a cylinder wall in the block crack (like me) completly out of the blue.... Nobody knows why it happend.. was religious with oil changes too.

I attribute that to the numerous times the motor has reached 300 degrees! Probably 12-15 times. Kinda baked it, I guess?

I've got 187,000 on my opti - still going.....My engine is nice and clean though, so I don't know how well it will hold up without that custom oil weatherproofing you have got on yours

ROFL, that made me laugh pretty good. Sad thing is, my 80k mile 94 had more gunk on the front than yours when i tore it down for the cam swap. I HAD leaks at the intake, timing cover, front and rear crankshaft seals, wp seal, and opti seal... pan gasket still sealing up fine

Curious as to what kind of coolant you were using and what the change interval was on it.
