I am confused at how adding a stronger fuel pump helps anything when the Fuel Pressure Regulator will just put the pressure back at 43.8 or whatever?! Does it give it more tuning options?! Do I need one if I am upgrading to a le2 w/ 125hp shot of n20??? Thanks ---

 

u will need the 225lph pump for nitrous,

im not sure about other nitrous kits but my ZEX kit uses vaccuum for the regulator and and "boosts" it ti helps create teh right fuel mixture

 

The larger pump only "helps" if the stock pump can not supply the volume of fuel your engine requires. Its not a matter of changing the pressure, its a matter of supplying a larger volume of fuel at the same pressure.

 

You will need a pump. The stock pump will run out of fuel up top making ~390-400 rwhp (which is what the LE2 is capable of) and spraying nitrous on top of it. This is just reiterating what Injuneer said, in case you didn't understand about the less/more volume he was talking about.

As for this, you are talking about a dry shot of nitrous. Dry shots get the fuel from the injectors (dry manifold) and wet shots get the fuel from the nozzle (wet manifold). The injectors spray more fuel when the fuel pressure is raised.

My stock fuel pump wouldn't keep up with my 100 shot on a stock car, so I'm pretty sure you'll need a bigger pump.
