Ken,
yes, that is the cmotorsports grind and I'm also running their 612 single coil springs.

Driving is great. It only gets a very little bit of cam surge when the torque converter engages at part throttle between 50 and 60 MPH. No surge whatsoever without the converter. Bet it would feel like a stock cam in an M6.

Gas mileage could be better, but that's because I was too lazy to replace the original 129K mile (the 93's) oxygen sensors. So at part throttle the AFR is like 12 to 1 when it should be closer to 14.7 to 1. I'll get that fixed when it comes out of storage in spring.

I also forgot to mention in the original post that I'm running the Speed Density setup of the 93 on this engine.

I have been thinking a lot about that truck after those 2 encounters.

Just curious, what does it run/ put down?

I'm assuming you drive the Red SS that was behind it?

yes that was me in the SS

I better see you ay byron this year running that car!

More like we better see YOU at byron this year Mike. I dunno how many times I told you Brian and I and the rest of the crew from my area were going up. Bastard. In case Ion is wondering why some of this sounds familiar, I believe Brian came up and saw your car in person.

Edit - VERY nice #s Ion, especially with stock heads.

Ah yes, Brian.... he stopped by to see the car right after the cam install. It was still with open headers then.

I remember him saying he felt bad for my tranny.

PS. I got a chance to catch Mike at Byron this year. He was sleeping next to his girlfriend in the dragster while running 8s.
He's quite the old ladies man at the track. They were all over him.

He probably said that about the tranny because his started slipping after his cam install.

Mike is a douche. I have yet to meet him up at Byron. I even have his phone number to give him a call when I'm there.

Mine was staying at 100.1-100.5% from about 5900 to 6600
If you think about it, sounds about right. 348 * 1.12 = 389 RWHP... so it definetely makes sense.

Some people said they were putting down 400 RWHP on stock injectors. I can now say I wouldn't use stock injectors for anything above 340 RWHP. 350 RWHP at the very most with stock fuel pressure.

WOW, not to shabby! Nice #'s. I've been waiting to see if you were going to dyno your car with that cam before I made my cam choice. I think that you just made up my mind!

Thanks a lot for your replies, guys!

I will be upgrading to 30# SVOs when I decide to do it. Since these will barely keep up, but still keep up, I'm keeping them until and if I do the heads.... (my other internal self has some problems with that IF for some reason... )
Plus, if I upgrade the injectors, I will need to dyno tune it again...

Right now, I had to put in some crazy values in the air fuel ratio table just to compensate for it and it's STILL not 13:1 all the way. I have a few spots where it's 13.5 and it gets a little knock retard making my graph not so straight....

Anyway, thanks again for your feedback!

Ion, you too good to post the results on the Chicago-land list??? We won't be too hard on you

Congrats. I wonder about the claimed 400rwhp on stock injectors too, I went straight to 42lb'ers

I warned you about lashing those 'R' lifters

Good looking dyno numbers. I'm curious to see how it runs at the track.

Very nice numbers Ion!!! WHen you get back from vacation, I will give ya a call sometime to hear that thing run with the full exhaust or go for a ride. Just one question for ya, are those hp numbers with the converter locked or unlocked?? Also, if you could PM me or email me the way that INTMD8 set the valve lash on your setup I would appreciate it. Again, congrats on getting the car running.

Brian
