Question Is 22 PSI of Oil Pressure using the PF1218 Normal it Used to be 25 with the PF25?

Hi GUys!

I changed oil yesterday and I couldn't find the PF25 anywhere since the stoped making them. So I used the PF1218 instead of the PF454 that was supposed to replace the PF25.

I had about 24 or 25 PSI with Engine Hot at idle now I am Getting 21-23 at Idle with the Engine Completely warmed up to operating temp at 210F.

Do you guys think this is a problem? I thought the PF454 was just too small.

I use Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic Oil and I have 73, 960 miles on car!

THanks Lee!

did you change the "weight" of the oil such as went to 5w-30 or something like that
if not then a small drop in pressure like that could be normal and i dont see a problem with the numbers themselves as long as you have approx 4-5 lbs per 100rpm (gm specs for that) personally i prefer 10psi/1000rpm but your still within guidlines

That looks fine. My car runs about 10-12 psi at hot idle. Even though I think that's kinda low, the pressure comes up nicely with RPM so as far as I can tell all is well.
