I wasn't racing stupid people, Like I said I have yet to loose to a 3.23 car (stock vs stock) or close anyway.

From a stop, 25mph+, 60mph+ I kill them, but I do have a lot of catching up to do if one catches me at 35mph-40mph. But I always catch up.....

Not a thing wrong with 2.73 gears. Don't worry about it, have fun with it the way it is.

hey, it will beat a mustang, but that isn't saying much! I would defnately change out the gears even if you aren't on planning on doing many more mods to your car. Personally i can't stop upgrading things and adding hp.

There is not as great a difference than you'd think there would be stock to stock. If you are interested in higher gas mileage right now , keep 'em for a while. IMO, the reason people say the 3.23s are better is because you can feel the power more easily. This is because of the torque multiplication with the higher ratio. Everything else being equal, it does not always mean a faster car in the 1/4 mile. The car will make the same power, but it will just apply it to the ground in a different mph range.

If you mod your car with things that mostly add power in the higher rpm ranges, then you would most likely want a higher numerical ratio. This way you would get into the power band quicker.
