Hey everyone hope you guy had a happy New Years ,
I was wonder why does my trans shift from first to second in 2 instead of going directly into second ?
Now I know it's because my car has 2.73 but will I be able to tune this out ?

 

Your shifter plate just does not show 1st or have it selectable. That does not mean it wll start in second if you select it. It always is going to start in first. Some V6's did have a second gear start, though. There is nothing to tune out. If you want to be able to select first, you can cut the little blocking tab off the shifter mechanism.

 

i cut the tab , see what im saying is in my mustang if i put the shifter in 2
it will start in 2 not in 1st but in my z28 it starts in 1st and then goes to 2nd do you get me now ?

 

I got you the first time. It will start in first, regardless (like I said) -just like it will start in first when in D or OD. It ain't a Ford.

 

hahaha ok i just wanted to clairify so theres no way i can change this
