The trickflow/vortech elbows are made from metal and therefor cause greater heat transfer than the rubber 1LE elbow.
The Trick Flow elbow is ceramic coated.

That's the main reason I ordered the Trick Flow instead of the Vortech...that coating will help with the temperatures.

I disagree, I never wash my car and it flat hauls, I try to make a 'perty' car out of it and it slows down. NO KIDDING.

And I think it is funny that people list Zaino as a mod as well. Along with most of the other crap people list. It never ends and the sigs become a mile long.

Who cares really, I have seen the 1LE/Vortech/Trick Flow all run very well and all perform, better than stock is doubtful.....

True. As mentioned, I only want the Trick Flow because I want to spruce up my engine appearance. I'm hoping to get a lot more "chrome" and shine under the hood. My stock elbow is a little ripped at the TB, so that's another reason I'm ordering it. Bought it from Summit last night!

I bought my 1LE elbow NEW, from the dealer for $38 It pays to know people. I would have NEVER paid the ridiculous prices I see now.

It is a much better piece though, and looks nicer. But then, I bought a Vortech elbow, polished, for show, to add to my many MBA parts under the hood. I don't really like the channels inside of it, and I do agree that the heat transfer can be a LOT greater.
I do think you could get cooler air w/ the rubber elbow.

I may take it w/ me to the track, and test both of them. Anyway, it shouldn't be listed as a mod. It is more appearance. I laugh when I see, clear lenses, Zaino, rear CAMARO letters, racing stripes, ect. in sigs, LOL

HAHHAA

As far as a clean, smooth car, it makes more than enough sense it would make a little improvement, as far as areodynamics.

My local auto store sells a wax called Track Claw, lol It is a wax designed to take a tenth or more off of your times, LLLLLLLOL

I have my stripes listed in my sig, but I don't consider it a mod. I just want people to know about my car. This will always be an arguement though, cause some people consider stuff like lenses, letters, etc. as Appearance mods...so...oh well. No big deal.

IMO, if it isn't a performance mod, it isn't worth listing.
