I'm not gonna argue with you. Fortunately, $58 to some people is crap (I got mine new from ls1speed.com RacinLT1....I'm assuming you got yours used?) . I just think that if you're gonna do something, do it right.

U guys are acting like this is an upgrade, i think its just sopposed to be a replacment when your old one goes to **** coz its better than a stocker which is the same price and leaves room for modifactions like a electric water pump

1le or trickflow or vortech elbow over RIPPED stock

Agreed....which is why I wouldn't waste my time chopping the donkey dong off. I replaced mine because I ripped it by accident.

wow so I suppose that all the "real racers" out there don't list the 1LE elbow as a mod...I'll have to keep that in mind next time I think bench racing means anything...

Well, of course it's a mod, just doesn't do much for performance.

Another option worth mentioning is the billet plug for the stocker offered by RK Sports and others for about $23. Im using this with my setup....I also drilled and tapped in my nitrous fogger into it

A little off subject, but I think you can list the 1LE elbow as a mod. If people can list blackouts, zaino, clear corners, free mods, air foils, CAMARO letters/decals etc. in their sig, then they can certainly put the 1le elbow in the sig as well.

HOW DARE YOU

yea but if you wanna get down to the details and be all techical, a nicely waxed car will actualy help you gain faster speeds, all jokes aside, it will make your car more aerodynamic and shave a LITTLE time off your runs.....and blackouts/clear corners and decals add hp fo shizza YO

I still don't think any thing can beat the Trickflow/Vortech elbows. They look a ton better and you don't have to worry about them drying up and tearing. ESP. The vortech...has a built in channel to guide air flow right into the TB ports...pretty nice.... But what ever works...if you don't wanna spend 90 bucks on an aluminum or 60 on the Elephant dingaling...than why not spend $2.95 and chop the bottom off a Pert Plus bottle?

The trickflow/vortech elbows are made from metal and therefor cause greater heat transfer than the rubber 1LE elbow.

Yeah...but seriously...unless your running the 24 hours of Lemans or something...does it really matter? With all the other stuff under the hood cooking what what can it hurt. They also make the LT-1 look 10000 times better when you lift the hood up. If it's that's serious and your at the track. Just ice it down...

But I guess it's just looks over performance....like some folks go with the Moroso's...FIPK's...and LPE's Intake for heat properties...and others just grap an SLP or AS&M...because they like the way it looks.

Wish I had known about the aluminum units...........I just dropped $100 bucks for a factory replacement. Mine was all torn up.

Glad I found this forum......I'll never make a mistake like that again. I looked all over the internet for an aftermarket replacement.

(I eliminated CAGS - 3 days after finding this site...for $0....this place is great!)

You guys should all chill out ......... it's a damn rubber hose! Who cares how you plug that hole? I'm buying some new shampoo tomorrow and I'll be right along the rest of the cheap *** yahoo's improving my airflow!

I'm just glad all you mechanically inclined camaro owners feel like sharing all your knowledge with the rest of us!
