1LE Drive Shaft best to get?

I have a bad VIBE that starts around 90MPH and am convinced it is the drive shaft. My car is out of warranty so the TSB is a moot point. I see people upgrade to the LS1 drive shaft and the aluminum shaft that came with the older 1LE package part #(10085375). I think this is the best way to go, anyone agree? Also, is there a better brand of U-Joints to go with it?
Thanks!

no problems with my LS1 shaft, the guy i bought it from said it had a set of "brute force" u-joints. never heard of them but you may want to shop around for them.

i think either one will make you happy. i'd say go with the ls1 if it's cheaper

The 1LE driveshaft is stronger than the LS1 driveshaft. Personally I think both driveshafts are good. I would look in the for sale section for a used one.

I just bought a LPE aluminum ds, my personal favorite. Cost around 300 but I think it is going to well worth it

I got an LS1 ds free from my dealer after bad vibrations from the stock vibe shaft destroyed my rear at around 20k miles, but that was back in 98. I just sold it and bought a new 1LE because I wanted something a little stronger. Either one would work fine and are plenty strong for your mods, if you are buying one new I would get the 1LE, its $235 compared to $220 or so for the LS1. Those are discount dealer prices, I got mine from Jason Cromer

The 1LE piece is made by Spicer and has Spicer Ujoints with it.
Spicer=Strong+Quality

I chose it over the LS1 DS when I bought mine.

I thought the 1LE looked a lot stronger than my LS1, the U joints looked much beefier and it is supposed to have thicker walls on the shaft, that's a little hard to tell though

A used shaft is the best deal, but if I were buying new I'd get one of Denny's shafts. They offer both a light weight AL shaft which is equivalent to the OEM pieces for $300 and a HD AL shaft which is much stronger than the OEM for $450. If you plan on heavy duty mods you may want to stay away from an AL shaft though.
