I was just curious as what kind of advantages or disadvantages did the 1997 Z28 engine come with? just looking for pros and cons.....thanks

 

The 97 engine is the same as the 96 engine. Meaning OBDII and a dual cat exhaust. For the most part, the longblock is virtually identical to the 93-95 cars.

 

so what do you think I should start off with in moding my car...Im kinda of new to this and would like to go the cheapest and fast route...all I have is a SLP CAI and flomaster cat-back

 

Make sure your car is properly tuned and running at peak form. Then I would dig in with some headers. Definately a good bolt on. Or you could go postal and bolt in a nitrous kit!

 

i just orderd some Hooker long tube headers...if I was running NOS, would I need to do anything like fuel management or stuff like that, or can I run it with stock injectors?? Im realy thinking of getting NOS...Id also like to change my gears...whats up with 10 bolts and stuff like that I dont get what they do or what they mean can you please explain it to me! thanks

 

Do you have to pass emissions at Camp P or are you exempt? I don't know for sure, but I thought CA would nail you if you installed LTs. Just a heads up in case you weren't aware of CA's emissions laws.

 

Im not worried about the emisson here in CA I got that taken car of...I just need some info on my car, so I can modd it the right way the first time and not blow my engine up!
