That should be pretty easy and cheap to find. I got a 98 V6 one for $15 including shipping a few years ago. Took me 10 minutes hunting on ebay. You may have to get it programmed though. And the P1336 trouble code will probably have to be relearned before that code will disappear. If you need reprogramming, see if you can get that done at the same time/cost (in the car).

 

A 98 V6 PCM will not work in 97. Unless you want to rewire the harness - the pinouts are all different.

 

Yes, that is true. But I was just giving an example of how little they cost and how plentiful they are. I just saw a 97 on ebay yesterday for $13 shipped.

Ive looked and i find them for 100 bucks shipped i haven't found any for 13..

 

I have a 96 PCM for a V-6 if you still need one. I am not sure how well it would work, but I have heard of guys with 96's using a 97 pcm. You would need to confirm.
