yeah mine is having the same problem right now and i need to get a reman starter. it will get stuck sometimes and make that clicking noise ur talking about, all i had to do was hit it and it would free it up, but now i took the starter off and going to replace it, i think the bushings are bad also

 

anyone have any tips gettin that sucker out? or should i just get the dang thing towed and done in the shop

 

i heard it may be possible without removing y-pipe im just wondering if its worth it like is it a disaster gettin this thing out w. the y-pipe still in or should i give it a shot

 

i got mine out without a taking the y pipe off.
just got to get it angled the right way.

 

wound up that the starter didnt come in today the place said tomorow definately though so ill be doin it tomrow let u know how it goes
