1993 headers?

So I know 93 is the oddball year but why wouldn't 94-95 headers work? Or would they? What would be a good Header/y-pipe/highflow cat combo for a 93? At least mid-length headers. I can never find that stuff for 93s..well cant when it comes to y-pipes and a cat.

oh and does anyone have any clips of mid or long tubes with the original loudmouth exhaust... is that too much or would it be better sounding with the bullet muffler if i choose to get headers

Re: 1993 headers?

I believe when it comes down to the difference in years between 93-97 you're just looking at emissions hook up changes. If you're going "race" (no emissions) then you dont have to worry about what year they're for.

Re: 1993 headers?

What about AS&M? I just found their site and they claim to have Longtubes and a y-pipe coated for the 93s...everything for like $750. But they don't look like longtubes...

Anyone have these?

Re: 1993 headers?

They're more mid-length then anything. Do you need the emissions hookups?

Any year LT1 headers will work "IF" you don't use the emission hookups.

Re: 1993 headers?

I have a 1993 with the EGR set up as the car is not for JUST racing I went with Super Comp Headers from Hooker. They sound great, and it's a name i've always trusted. Make sure you use Stage 8 Locking Bolts when installing them, they will never move if you do that. Also Fel Pro gaskets. save yourself the headache later.
