160 stat fan temp recommendations?

Getting some reprogramming done. I have a 160 stat installed. I used to have the fans come on at 185 or so and I think it was 195 for highspeed. Problem with that is that in the summer whenever I stop the fans are coming on. I'm going to have this car for at least a few more years and I don't want them wearing out prematurely. I still want a little spark advance advantage though.

I was thinking about going with the following...
Fan 1 on/off at: 190°F/180°F
Fan 2 on/off at: 200°F/190°F

Any comments/recommendations??

If you're concerned with fan life, bump each of those temps up another 10 degrees. That should keep the motor from detonating on all but the hottest of days (even then it'd be at a minimum). I'd concentrate on keeping the radiator clean with annual flushes, and ALWAYS make sure it's bled. Every oil change or sooner (if it's running hotter while driving) bleed the system. If you want some advance the last thing you need are hot spots from air bubbles in the cooling system.

If the fans wear out theres tons of f-bodies in the junkyard just get the fans off them. I have a 1987 Motorcycle and wired my fan to turn on when its on and it never burned out yet.
