160* thermostat????

which is the real 160*thermostat the one with 2 prongs on top or 3??

Temp rating has nothing to do with 'prong count'
It however SHOULD look like this:

The temp rating should be stamped into the stat somewhere, usually the bottom..

niether my new or old tstat have temp ratings on them at all the only thing stamped on them is the brand motorad or something like that. They both say 160* hypertech tstat on the box whats goin on here

I have 2 180's that I just looked at and they are stamped on the bottom as that..
My 160 is in the car so I can't check it..
I have never seen a t'stat that wasn't marked somewhere on it tho?[look harder.. ]

The Hypertech has the marking hidden on the bottom, down inside the "hole". I had originally thought is was not marked either.

The "prongs" are merely a design discretion of the manufacturer and don't have any significance that I know of.
