The parts ladi is a little bit cheaper than the price I was quoted for a non-vented GM Opti. Did all ignition go belly up? The last time I checked, which was a week or so ago, they were still getting positive feedback on EBay.

Someone posted, and I'm not sure whether it was here or some other forum, that GM had changed/redesigned the non-vented optis to vented. Any truth to that?

i have a claim open with paypal for a refund on my opti through all ignition since they are not responding to any emails and the phone number no longer works.

i don't think it's possible for GM to 're-design 'non-vented optis to vented. I'm sure that would have been done by now in the aftermarket if it was possible. The actual conversion requires a different timing cover, a different camshaft(on with a longer dowel), and a different timing set.

Go with one from thepartsladi, you won't have any trouble. Genuine Ac delco with a warranty. Unless you're plan on going with a dynaspark, i would recommend an Ac delco.

Well I had to put on my spare from All-Ignition and it turns out it's a bad unit. No fire at all, the motor just cranks. I put the old one back on and it fired up first try. They are now refusing to send a replacement until I send the defective in for them to look at. That's rediculous. I'm supposed to install the old opti, hook everything back up, fill and bleed the cooling system and then do the whole process over again when they decide to send a new one? I filed a paypal claim since they sent a defective unit and I'm going to let it stand until they either refund my money plus the cost of shipping the defective back or they overnight me one that works.

My recommendation is to send that back, and get your full refund like i did. (although i was not reimbursed for the return shipping, which was only like 5 bucks via usps). Then go and buy yourself a new OEM delco from 'thepartsladi' on ebay or a gm dealer. Good luck

I think that's the route I'm going to have to go, but it's a little rediculous that they refuse to just send out a new unit to save a customer...

yeah. Well the company is crap, and those units are garbage. I would def not recommend even putting a new one in. get a REAL ac delco from a dealer.

I don't blame you at all... They actually LOOK like a quality unit. I would really like to see how a working one would hold up, but I don't know that I really want to do this job any more than I have to. I think this is the 5th Opti swap I've done between my two LT1's...

I have one from thepartsladi. They are genuine AC units, AC cap/rotor/distributor. Mine is working great! No problems(knock on wood).

I'm still good on my All-Ignition unit. Geez, am I the only one left?
